The voluntary town archivists Erich Schreilechner and Hans Rinofer offer historic town tours upon telephone appointment. They provide a brief description of the town’s historic development with a circuit of the town centre, including visits to and the stories behind historic and contemporary buildings. The guided tour begins on the main square or at another location, if preferred. Duration: approx. 1 1/2 hours.
The guided tour is free and can be tailored to adults, school groups and youth groups.

The covered car park in the centre of town allows you to walk around without any time pressure, visit shops with friendly, knowledgeable assistants or enjoy one of the lovely cafés. The car park is in the centre of Knittelfeld and offers direct access to the main square.

For the third time, all friends of snowshoeing will meet on 24.01.2020 until 02.02.2020 to "aufSCHNEESCHUHwandern" in Murtal - the snowshoe festival.
In 10 days, 28 events revolve around fun, healthy and clever when snowshoeing.
3 lecture evenings and 5 workshops bring theory and practice closer.
On 17 guided tours, we hike 7200 snowshoe meters and 120 snowshoe kilometers through the region.
An entertaining opening event, extensive snowshoeing and a fun closing festival at the Red Bull Ring frame the festival program.
